What is a Functional Medicine Detox?

A functional medicine detox is a powerful weight loss, anti-aging and wellness solution

which helps to restore nutrient deficiencies while safely removing toxins.

How do I know I need a FM detox?

Whether you're dealing with issues such as weight gain, brain fog, low mood and bloating, or something more serious, they all have something in common -- they are symptoms, but they are not the cause. That's because the true problem starts at a deeper level due to an imbalance, toxicity or deficiency that can be difficult to uncover.

How does it work?

The detox is always integrated into a health coaching programme. The detox can be 7, 14 or 21 days depending on your needs and budget. There are 2 days of fasting each week, don’t panic, you have 4 shakes each day which are full of all the vitamins, minerals, electrolytes, and protein which you need to sustain and balance the body, so you won’t be hungry. Supplements to support phase 1 and 2 liver detoxification are also taken. Meals are clean, healthy and a proven mix of micro and macro nutrients to nourish your body, help the detox process, reduce and eliminate inflammation and lose weight. It’s about resetting your metabolism. It’s a great mix of protein, carbs (not refined) and healthy fats in exact quantities to feed your body what it needs to be efficient and feel great. Exercise again is body specific. Depending on current fitness and stress levels. Over exercising a stress body makes you store fat not burn it, so we start small and build up!

what are the side effects?

The first 4 days can make people feel tired, grumpy, sleep badly, joint pain and have headaches if they have cut out caffeine quickly. This is normal and passes quickly, it shows that the body is working hard and processing the toxins which are then eliminated through sweat, urine and bowel movements.
